Innovation Zero Event: Labours Net Zero vision

I had a great time yesterday at the Innovation Zero event in London and was impressed by the keynote speaker, the Rt Hon Ed Miliband MP. His positive outlook on the path towards net zero was reassuring, and it was refreshing to hear someone who seems to understand the opportunities decarbonisation brings to the UK.

Ed Miliband eloquently outlined the four key challenges we face in the UK – grid constraints, planning delays, skills gaps, and supply chain partnering – demonstrating his solid grasp of the issues at hand. As he aptly put it, “I hope the ambition of the audience is matched by the (future Labour) Government.” Let’s see what happens…

Overall, the event was a great success, and I’m excited to see where the UK goes from here in terms of clean energy and netzero.
