Workshop: National Grid ESO’s Demand Flexibility Service

Alongside collaboration meetings by sector, Rutland Forums facilitate frequent topical workshops for members to be kept up to date on legislation, new technologies, new academic research and innovations.

Today we meet to to learn about National Grid ESO Demand Flexibility Service. The Demand Side Flexibility Service (DFS) was introduced last winter to access additional flexibility during peak days when national demand is at its highest. This new service allows consumers, as well as industrial and commercial users, to be incentivized for voluntarily flexing the time when they use their electricity.

Contact Rutland Forums to join one of our established sector forums, attend our workshops, and get involved in our collaboration projects. Don’t fit into one of our sectors? Then enquire about setting up a new forum.
