Decarbonising and degassing large properties are one of the greatest challenges on the route to net zero. Multiple forums have long requested to hear from peers who have manage this step and Henry Powell from Landsec has agreed to share her journey.
In this Workshop Henry will provide an overview of Landsec’s £135m net zero transition investment plan which sees the UK real estate company take action to remove fossil fuels and improve the energy efficiency of their London office portfolio. The plan, which is in the fourth year of delivery will cut emissions by 11,000t CO2e supporting Landsec achieve their near-term carbon reduction targets and provide fossil-fuel free, energy efficient workplaces to their customers. Jennie will cover the elements of the plan which include replacing gas fired boilers with heat pumps (5 assets are already on site); BMS optimisation; customer engagement and onsite-renewable capacity (across retail assets).
